Kennesaw State men's basketball head coach
Al Skinner announced the hiring of
Tre' Murrell to be the Director of Men's Basketball Operations on Wednesday, April 25.
Murrell is very familiar with Kennesaw State and the team as he was a student manager for the basketball team for four and a half seasons.
"I am remarkably excited for the opportunity to come back home to Kennesaw State," Murrell said. "After working with the program as a student-assistant, it is a blessing to be able to rejoin the program as the Director of Basketball Operations. I am truly excited to return working with Coach Skinner and the staff along with seeing what our program can accomplish."
After graduating from Kennesaw State with a degree in integrative studies and a minor in coaching, he worked for the Atlantic 10 Conference this past year as the Men's Basketball and Administration Intern.
"We welcome back Tre' with open arms here at Kennesaw State," Skinner said. "He really made an impression on me, but more importantly he had the respect from the players. Being a manager that can be challenging at times, but he handled it very well. We're very excited to have him on board with the staff."
Murrell is originally from Newnan, Georgia.
