Head coach #Lewis Preston# has announced the hiring of Kory Keys as the newest member of the Owls family, it was made official on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013.
 
“Kory is going to bring a previous working knowledge with our team and staff,” said Preston. “He’s going to be able to expand the roles he has both on and off the court, but more importantly, he brings in a wealth of experience from his variety of previous positions.”
 
Keys served as the team’s video coordinator and director of basketball operations during the 2012-13 season where he handled all film exchange, travel arrangements, summer camps and recruiting materials among other duties for the Owls.
 
The Cumming, Ga. native has been a member of the team since arriving in August of 2011 as a graduate assistant with his roles expanding every year since landing at Kennesaw State.
 
A 2010 graduate of Ole Miss, Keys received a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting, an asset he has put to use at various stops including Atlanta’s 680 The Fan, ESPNU and Comcast Sports Southeast.

On the basketball scene, Keys has had an active role in the game since working for the Ole Miss media relations department in 2010. Along with his roles at KSU summer camps, he has also played an intricate part at Georgia Tech as well as the US Military Academy in the success of their camps as well.
