Paul O'Connor

Kennesaw State men's basketball has officially named Paul O'Connor as the program's Director of Basketball Operations, head coach Jimmy Lallathin announced on Wednesday, May 14, 2014.

"Paul is going to be a great addition to the staff," said Lallathin. "He's a very organized and detail-oriented individual who has great experiences behind him and I look forward to using those experiences to better our program. His father was a Division I head coach so he recognizes what it takes to be successful in this business. He knows what he wants in this profession and the future looks very bright for him and for us."

O'Connor arrives to KSU after one season as the Director of Operations at Central Connecticut State University, where he helped lead the team to a Northeast Conference Postseason Tournament appearance in 2013-14.

While with the Blue Devils, O'Connor was responsible for coordinating the team's film exchange program, managing the Howie Dickeman Basketball School, monitoring the team budget and assisting with scheduling.

Prior to his time at CCSU, O'Connor spent two seasons at Providence, where he assisted in the day-to-day operations with the Friars.

O'Connor received his master's degree from Providence in 2013 and his bachelor's degree from Ohio University in 2011, where he served as the squad's Head Basketball Manager and helped assist in the day-to-day operations for the Bobcats.
