John Brinson

John Brinson is entering his third season as the Director of Basketball Operations at Kennesaw State.

Before being named to the Director of Operations postion, he worked in facilities and operations at Kennesaw State.

He provided operational and facility management support for the department of athletics including responsibility for management and supervision of game day student staff, facility maintenance, coordination with university plant operations and environmental service for all athletic department areas. Brinson also was responsible for management of game day operations for all athletic events and special events, including pre-game set-ups, post-game breakdown and in-game coordination.

Before working full time, Brinson served as a student assistant with Kennesaw State athletics operations and facilities department during the 2013-14 school year. During that time, he was the replay coordinator for Kennesaw State men’s and women’s basketball games while coordinating time outs with officials and the production booth. He also assisted with event set-up, operation and breakdown of the department’s 18 NCAA DI programs.

Prior to that, Brinson was the President/Assistant Coach for the Kennesaw State club baseball team. He oversaw all operations for the squad, including program compliance, budgeting, travel arrangements, recruiting and acquiring equipment and apparel. His teams compiled a 60-14 record while winning a national championship, two conference and three division tiles.

Brinson graduated with a degree in criminal justice from Kennesaw State in 2014. He currently resides in Kennesaw, Georgia.
