Coach Gary Dyksterhouse is entering his fourth season with the Owls, and his second season as a full-time assistant coach.
Dyksterhouse began his coaching career with Kennesaw State as a volunteer assistant coach under Tony Ingle during the NCAA Division II national championship season of 2003-04. After just one year, Dyksterhouse was promoted to graduate assistant coach.
At the conclusion of the 2004-05 season Dyksterhouse was again promoted as he was named Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant Camp Director. During Dyksterhouse's time at Kennesaw State, the Owls have amassed an overall record of 71-27.
Dyksterhouse's responsibilities include recruiting, film exchange, coordination of travel, booster club, academics, scouting director, facilities coordinator, and practice coach. He is also the Camp Director for head coach Tony Ingle's summer basketball camps and is the Tournament Director for the Fighting Owl Golf Classic, the Owls annual fundraising event.
A top high school player in South Carolina, Dyksterhouse spent his prep career at 4A West Florence High School where he was an honorable mention all-state selection as well as a first team all-region basketball player. He was also a First Team All-Region athlete in tennis and cross country.
Dyksterhouse graduated from Wake Forest University where he majored in Communication while minoring in psychology and business. He and his wife Kathryn make their home in Acworth, Georgia.
