Lettered in basketball for four years at Newnan High School in Newnan, Ga., serving as a starter for three seasons...Helped his team to three consecutive Region 4-5A championships, advancing to the state tournament each time…Averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds his senior year, garnering All-Coweta County honors in the process...Also averaged a double-double during his junior season...Played for the Atlanta Celtics of the AAU for one summer...Also lettered for one season in football at Newnan HS before choosing to focus on basketball.
