Played in 18 games for the Owls...made his collegiate debut against Western Kentucky (11/11/06)...scored his first points as an Owl against Belmont where he went 1-for-4 from the floor and scored two points...scored a season-high of two points on four occasions, the first coming in a loss against Belmont (1/4/07), the second in a win over Gardner-Webb (1/10/07), the third in loss against Belmont (1/27/07) and the fourth in a win over Mercer (2/22/07)...pulled down a season-high three offensive boards in the Owls first loss to Belmont...played a season-high 18 minutes versus Kansas State (12/17/06), tallying two rebounds, a block and a steal in the game...shot 25.0 (3-12) percent from the floor and 33.3 percent (2-6) from the free throw line.
Prep Career
Cornett comes to Kennesaw State off a successful career at North Atlanta High School where he played for head coach Tilford Ellerbee...was a three-year varsity letter winner who averaged near a double-double for his high school career...last season he averaged a double-double scoring close to 11 points and just over 10 rebounds per gamefor the Warriors...Cornett was named an Honorable Mention All-City Life/South Metro Team selection after his senior season.
