Lanie Vantrease joined the Kennesaw State football staff during the 2024 season. After serving as the coordinator for football administration, she was elevated in 2025 to director of football operations.
Vantrease continues on with the Owls after a successful five-year career with Kennesaw State volleyball. She appeared in 74 career matches, recording 98 kills and 117 kills in her final two seasons. Her senior year, she ranked third on the team with a 2.21 hitting percentage.
