As a Redshirt Sophomore 
Appeared in four games for the Owls as a defensive back …totaled two tackles on the season … recorded one solo tackle against UTSA (Sept. 31) … was able to assist on a tackle against UT Martin (Sept. 28).  

As a Sophomore (2023)
Played in eight games ... ended the year with seven tackles (three solo).

As a Freshman (2022)
Did not appear in a game.

High School
Played at Sparkman High School under head coach Laron White … as a senior, threw for 1,155 yards and rushed for 1,200 yards … added 18 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns … was selected to the first team all-region and led his team to the state playoffs … as a junior, led the Senators to an 8-3 overall record and was named to the second team all-state and first team all-region … threw for 14 passing touchdowns and ran for eight rushing touchdowns while leading his team to the state playoffs … was previously signed to Army.

Is the son of Kevin and Leslie Sawyer … has one brother, Kendal and one sister, Khloe … plans to major in business.
