Played at Cedar Shoals High School under head coach Leroy Ryals … led the team to a first-round state playoff appearance as a senior where he compiled team-highs in tackles (76), sacks (four) and forced fumbles (two) … also caught eight passes for 113 yards including one touchdown … as a junior, led the Jaguars to a first-round state playoff appearance … posted a team-high four sacks and finished second on the defense in total tackles (52) … in his sophomore season, led Cedar Shoals to a 7-5 record and Sweet 16 appearance in the GHSA state playoffs … recorded 55 tackles which ranked third on the team … also tallied one sack for the first of his high school career … received a Scholar Athlete Award and was the recipient of the Sophomore Golden Helmet.
