As a Redshirt Junior (2024)
Saw action in 12 games for the Owls at linebacker and started in two … earned 22 total tackles on the season, with his season-high (6) coming against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 30)  … gained his one sack and tackle for loss on the season against Louisiana Tech.  

As a Sophomore (2023)
Played in four games with three starts on the defensive line ... added 13 tackles (five solo) with two tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks on the season ... tallied a career high seven tackles (two solo) with 0.5 sacks and one tackles for loss against Lincoln (Oct. 28).

At Appalachian State 

Played in one game as a redshirt freshman against Robert Morris in 2022. 

High School 

Played for head coach Korey Mobbs at Lanier High School … named an All-Region 8-AAAAAA selection after posting 9.0 sacks, 12.0 tackles for loss, 11 QB hurries and 49 total tackles as a senior … Helped Lanier go 10-2 and reach Georgia’s state 6-A quarterfinals in 2019 … On a 10-4 team as a junior, had 41 tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and 13 QB hurries … made honorable mention all-region in 2018. 

Personal 

Son of Joy and Gary Rucks … has two sisters, Jasmine and Sofia, and one brother, Lamont … plans to major in business management.
