Played and started in 11 games for the Owls at linebacker … tied for first for sacks (3.5) and tackles for loss (9) on the defensive side of the ball … had 48 total tackles on the season … had one fumble recovery and 0.5 TFL against UTSA (Aug. 31) … had a dominant game against Middle Tennessee with four tackles for loss, three total sacks and six total tackles (Oct. 15) … had five different games where he recorded five or more total tackles … recorded four weeks in a row with one or more TFL’s and earned a TFL in six out of the eleven games he participated in.  

As a Junior (2023) 
Played in four games and received a redshirt ... ended the season with 19 tackles (six solo) and one tackle for loss ... also added one quarterback hurry ... posted nine tackles (one solo) against Furman (Sept. 16) with one tackle for loss and a quarterback hurry ... posted six tackles (one solo) against Tennessee State (Oct. 7) on Homecoming.

As a Sophomore (2022)
Recorded a team-high six tackles (all solo) in the season opener at Samford (Sept. 1) ... also added two tackles-for-loss, one fumble recovery and one pass break-up ... led the Owls with seven tackles (four solo) in a week two matchup at Cincinnati (Sept. 10) ... also collected two tackles-for-loss and one sack ... tallied three tackles (one solo) and a fumble recovery at Jacksonville State (Oct. 1) ... tallied four tackles (two solo) and his first career interception in a double-overtime win against North Alabama (Oct. 8) ... set a new career-high with 10 tackles (five solo) against Central Arkansas (Oct. 15) ... added four tackles (two solo), two tackles-for-loss and 0.5 sacks in the win over Charleston Southern (Oct. 29) ... added six tackles (none solo), three quarterback hurries and one sack in the win at No. 15 UT-Martin (Nov. 5) ... recorded three tackles (none solo) and a sack against Austin Peay (Nov. 12).

High School
Played at Irwin County High School under head coaches Casey Soliday and Buddy Nobles … listed offers from Troy and Georgia Southern … Led the Indians to the Class-A state championship and a 13-3 record as a senior … ran 28 times for 261 yards and a touchdown in his senior year … caught 17 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns … finished with three interceptions and nine sacks with five tackles for loss ... as a junior, led Irwin County to an undefeated season and Class-A state championship, including a 56-14 victory against Marion County in the title game … the Indians were state runner-up in 2018 and 2017 … rushed 11 times for 93 yards and a score and caught two passes for 25 yards with a TD as a junior.

Son of Shaneka Paschal and Tony Benyard…Has one brother, Gabriel and one sister, Gabrielle. His brother Gabriel is also a member of the Kennesaw State football team.
