Played under head coach Ryan Herring at Pierce County High School … as a senior, guided the Bears to a region championship and Final Four appearance in the GHSA state playoffs … was an all-state linebacker selection, named to the first team all-region and honored as Defensive Player of the Year for Region 1AAA … … led the team in tackles (157) and sacks (nine) … recorded 25 tackles-for-loss, 12 quarterback hurries and one interception … also posted 353 rushing yards on 38 carries with eight touchdowns … in his junior year, led Pierce County to a GHSA state championship and was a first team all-region selection … posted 113 total tackles and 12 sacks … recorded 122 total tackles as a sophomore with five sacks and two forced fumbles … won the region championship and made an appearance in the Sweet 16.
