Reese Mathewson

Reese Mathewson begins his third season with Kennesaw State football and second as the team’s video coordinator in 2022. Mathewson is responsible for the oversight and coordination of film for all KSU practices and games. He is also the Co-Op Video representative for the ASUN Conference. 

Other responsibilities Mathewson handles include the weekly film swap with opponents, tracking and updating the NCAA Transfer Portal and managing the team’s digital media library. He also serves as an IT liaison for the football program and provides technical support on all video systems.

Prior to his position as the team’s video coordinator, Mathewson served as a Football Operations and Recruiting Assistant for the Owls. In this role, he provided day-to-day football operations support to all coaches and staff, helped update the prospect and coach database, and created scouting reports for the defensive side of the ball.

Mathewson came to Kennesaw State after spending time with the Atlanta Hawks from 2016-2017.

He graduated from KSU with a bachelor’s degree in sports management in 2019 and completed his master’s degree in sports management from West Virginia in August 2021.

Mathewson resides in Woodstock, Ga. and is engaged to his fiancé, Courtney.
