Joe Tolbert is entering his third season as the Kennesaw State football equipment manager in 2021.
His duties include leading a staff of student equipment managers, organizing the maintenance of all football equipment, including protective equipment and uniforms and coordinating the packing and transportation of all football equipment for road games.
Tolbert ensures the maintenance and effective communication with the sideline communication system and organizes the setup of equipment at practice. He is certified through the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
Prior to Kennesaw State, Tolbert spent two seasons as the Director of Equipment at Northwestern State University, two years as a volunteer equipment manager at the University of South Alabama and one season as an athletic equipment intern at Towson University.
Tolbert earned a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies and Recreation Administration from the University of South Alabama in 2014. He and his wife Kelsey were married in June of 2020.
