Jay Clements is in his first season as the offensive line coach at Kennesaw State.
 
Clements came to Kennesaw after serving as the offensive line analyst at Mississippi State in 2024 and North Carolina in 2023.
 
Prior to Starkville, the Waco, Texas native also served as an offensive graduate assistant at North Texas in 2022. While Clements was on staff, the 2023 Mean Green produced the first running back-wide receiver duo to post 1,000-yard seasons since 1968. Ayo Adeyi was able to amass 1,017 yards and six touchdowns on just 143 carries behind the offensive front.
 
Overall, UNT’s offense ranked seventh nationally, averaging 495.8 yards per game.
 
On the field, Clements started his collegiate career at Stephen F. Austin (2015-16) as a tight end, before transferring to Baylor for his final two seasons (2016-17).
 
Clements graduated from Baylor with a degree in health, kinesiology and leisure studies in 2017. Clements’ father, Randy, is a veteran college offensive line coach, most recently at North Carolina.
 
Clements resides in Kennesaw with his wife, Joely, and their son, Hayes.
