Cameron Norcross was named the offensive line coach/run game coordinator at Kennesaw State, head football coach Brian Bohannon announced Feb. 14, 2024. Norcross, a 20-year Division I coaching veteran, arrives at KSU with extensive experience inside the Mountain West Conference (MWC) and Southeastern Conference (SEC).

“Cameron is a great fit for our offense,” said Bohannon. “His knowledge and experience will benefit our staff as we transition into Conference USA this fall.”

Norcross coached at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 2020-21 as the Rebels’ offensive line coach. At UNLV, he secured the second-highest rated recruiting class in the Mountain West Conference.

“I am excited to continue my college coaching career,” said Norcross. “I wouldn’t trade the last few years watching my son play for anything. I look forward to being a part of this successful program in its move to FBS.”

Prior to Las Vegas, the Ely, Nev. native served as the offensive line coach at Vanderbilt from 2016-19. With the Commodores, Norcross was a part of Vanderbilt’s 2019 victory over No. 22 Missouri which marked the program’s first win over a ranked opponent in three years.

Norcross also helped Vanderbilt achieve history during the 2018 season. The Commodores’ offense averaged 411.2 total yards per game, the most productive by the team since 1974. Vanderbilt also defeated the University of Tennessee for the third consecutive season for the first time since the 1920’s en route to an appearance in the Texas Bowl.

The offensive line excelled during Norcross’ first season in Nashville as it paved the way for running back Ralph Webb who set the school’s single season rushing record with 1,283 yards. The Commodores also earned a spot in the Independence Bowl that season.

From 2012-15 Norcross was the offensive line coach at Fresno State. His tenure in central California was highlighted by three bowl trips, including an 11-2 season in 2013 that ended with a Las Vegas Bowl appearance.

The Bulldogs’ offense also set 13 school records during the 2013 season which included points scored, total offense and passing yards. The team also tied the school record for wins in a season with 11.

Norcross began his coaching career at his alma mater, the University of Nevada. He served on the Wolfpack staff from 2001-12 in a variety of roles that included offensive line coach, run game coordinator, tight ends coach and graduate assistant.

The Wolfpack appeared in seven bowl games with four Mountain West Conference championships during this span. In 2009, the Wolfpack also became the first team in NCAA history to have three 1,000+-yard rushers in a single season.

The 2009 team also ranked first in the nation in rushing offense and second in total offense. Norcross’ offensive line finished the year with the sixth fewest sacks allowed in the FBS.

Norcross received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Nevada in 2000. He was a three-year starter at strong guard for the football team. The Wolfpack won the 1996 Las Vegas Bowl and ended the 1999 season ranked second in total offense.
