Was a captain for the second straight season and was the defensive leader… She led the team with 13 caused turnovers and also picked up 18 ground balls… Southerland also won six draw controls while starting in ten 12 of the 13 games. 

2013
Named to the Atlantic Sun Preseason Watch list… Named a captain… Started all 11 games for the Owls…  Totaled nine points with six goals and three assists… Scored a goal in her first five games… Dished out two assists against Davidson (2/25)… Won 23 draw controls… Hauled in nine ground balls and caused two turnovers.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
A two-time letterwinner in lacrosse at Harrison High... Started on defense as a junior and played the following summer on the Georgia national team... Received Harrison High’s Defensive Award in 2010 and 2011... A member of the 2010 Region Area 1 AAAAA runner-up team.

Born July 16, 1993 in Chicago, Ill... A resident of Acworth, Ga... Attended Harrison High in Acworth... Majoring in exercise and health science... Plans to attend graduate school and become a physical therapist following graduation... Chose Kennesaw State because it has a good reputation and is close to home... Selected to the honor roll of four hears in high school... Competed for the Hotlanta Lacrosse club team.
