Kris Drees begins his first season as a member of the Kennesaw State men’s basketball program . . . Joins the Owls program as a walk-on . . . Expected to provide depth along the frontline . . . One of eight newcomers on the Owls’ roster.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year letterwinner at West Forsyth High School in Cumming, Ga. . . . Named All-Forsyth County and All-7-AAA Region after averaging 12.5 points and six rebounds a contest as a senior in 2009.

PERSONAL: Born April 29, 1991 in Baltimore, Md. . . . A resident of Cumming, Ga. . . . Attended West Forsyth High in Cumming, Ga. . . . Majoring in accounting . . . Chose Kennesaw State because of its business school.
