KENNESAW, Ga. – For the second time in three weeks, Anabel Orozco was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.

The senior midfielder has continued her torrid pace as she recorded two goals in KSU's conference opener against Sam Houston (9/26). She was the only CUSA player to score multiple goals in a conference game this week.

The Fayetteville native became the first Owl since 2012 to record a goal contribution in five-straight games. During this stretch, she has tallied 14 points (six goals and two assists).

She leads all CUSA players in shots (35), shots on goal (22), goals (7) and points (16). Among all Division I players, she's top 25 in the country in shots and top 50 in goals and points.

Orozco is the first KSU player to win multiple weekly awards in the Conference USA era and the first Owl to win multiple conference weekly awards since Abby Roth in 2017.

The Black and Gold return to The Saw to face New Mexico State on Thursday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
