KENNESAW, Ga. – Riding a 3-0 start to the season, Kennesaw State volleyball puts it perfect record on the line on Thursday with a match at Atlanta Metro rival Georgia State. The Owls then play their 2026 home opener on Friday night in their first-ever meeting with West Georgia, while the contest is also this year's Griffin's Game at KSU. The weekend will conclude with a home game against Alabama A&M, marking the second straight year the teams have played after a meeting in a tournament at Tennessee last season.
- It's a young squad for the Owls this year, and that's featured in their starting lineup as well. In addition to freshman outside hitter Anna Ofenheusle who started two of the three games, she was joined in the starting lineup by first-year defensive specialist Alexis Sowers, who became KSU's first freshman to start at libero since Maddie Jones in 2015. Sowers would start in all three matches, and leads the team with 35 digs, which ranks her eighth in Conference USA.
- Thursday marks the first meeting between KSU and Georgia State since a 3-0 Owl win on Sept. 4, 2017. All-time KSU trails the series 5-3, but have won the last three meetings.
