KENNESAW, Ga. – Following her three-goal week, Kennesaw State soccer midfielder
Anabel Orozco was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday afternoon.
The senior scored all three of the Owls' goals this weekend. She recorded a brace in exactly 1:57 of game time against Presbyterian on Thursday before scoring the 89
th-minute equalizer versus West Georgia on Sunday to keep KSU's unbeaten streak alive.
The Fayetteville native has been on fire recently as Orozco has five goal contributions (nine points) in her last three games. For the season, she leads CUSA in shots on goal (20), shots (32), and is second in points (11). Across all Division I players, she's top 10 in SOG and top 25 in total shots.
Orozco is the first Owl to receive a CUSA weekly honor since
Charlee Bernal and Tianna Rivera were named CUSA Goalkeeper of the Week and CUSA Offensive Player of the Week during the 2024 season.
Orozco and the Owls head to Jacksonville on Thursday for their final non-conference match of the season against North Florida. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
