New York — Five Owls are set to compete at the 2026 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which begin Thursday at Icahn Stadium.
Kennesaw State will be represented by three current student-athletes:
Kali Terza in the hammer throw,
Emma Sullivan in the 800 meters and
Madison Seiler in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Former Owls Daniel Haugh and Isaiah Rogers also will compete in the hammer throw.
Sullivan and Terza will don the KSU jersey for the final time this weekend. Both finished their outstanding collegiate careers at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last month.
Terza will make her USATF Outdoor Championships debut in the hammer throw. She recorded a personal-best throw of 69.12 meters (226-9) to win the gold medal at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships in May. Terza also earned first-team All-America honors after placing seventh at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Seiler also will make her USATF Outdoor Championships debut. She qualified for the meet with a time of 9:56.87 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Penn Relays in April. Seiler earned the bronze medal at the 2026 Conference USA Outdoor Championships in May.
Sullivan will make her first appearance at the USATF Outdoor Championships in the 800 meters. The senior won the Edmonton Athletics Invitational on July 12 with a time of 2:00.09. Earlier this season, she ran a personal-best 2:00.37 to finish 12th in the 800-meter preliminary round at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, earning second-team All-America honors.
Haugh will make his eighth appearance at the USATF Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw after competing in 2018, 2019 and every year from 2021-25. The 2019 NCAA champion won the US title in 2022 and 2024.
Rogers will make his fourth consecutive appearance in the hammer throw at the USATF Outdoor Championships. He placed 12th in 2024.
