KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State will make its second appearance at the CUSA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from Thursday through Saturday at Middle Tennessee's Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
The decathlon 100-meter dash will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. Eastern, and the meet will conclude Saturday at 10 p.m. Eastern with the women's 4x400 relay.
The KSU men's team has captured 11 consecutive outdoor conference titles, including 10 in the ASUN (2008, 2010-11, 2013-18) and one in its CUSA debut in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Kennesaw State women will look to capture the fifth outdoor conference title in program history. The Owls won four outdoor ASUN titles (2017, 2018, 2022, 2024).
Kennesaw State won the CUSA women's indoor track and field championship in 2026 and both men's track and field titles in 2025. The 2025-26 season has been a strong year for KSU athletics, as the Owls have secured CUSA titles in football, men's basketball and women's indoor track and field in just their second year in the league.
The meet will provide athletes with a final opportunity to post qualifying marks for the NCAA Division I East First Rounds. The event will be contested at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility from May 27-30 in Lexington, Kentucky

Men's Meet Preview
The Owls enter as the highest-rated men's team at No. 52 in the USTFCCCA rankings. Close behind KSU are Liberty (No. 57) and Middle Tennessee (No. 64). KSU halted Liberty's streak of 17 consecutive outdoor conference titles in 2025.
The Flames defeated the Owls by 37.5 points at this year's CUSA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
KSU holds the No. 1 seed in the following events this week: 5K (Edwin Kiprono), 400-meter hurdles (Josh Jones), 4x400 relay and high jump (Gage Voyles).
Chance Cross (100m), Eric Young II (400m), Brian Limo (5K), Colins Kipkemboi (10K) and Simon Seid (pole vault) will look to successfully defend their CUSA event titles from 2025.
KSU has 15 men ranked among the top 48 in the NCAA East Region in their events entering this weekend's championship meets.
Gage Voyles is currently the highest-ranked Owl. He enters the weekend ranked second in the NCAA East Region and fourth nationally this season.
Women's Meet Preview
The Owls enter the meet as the highest-ranked team at No. 50 in the USTFCCCA rankings.
KSU is searching for its first CUSA outdoor title on the women's side.
The Owls defeated runner-up Liberty by 14 points indoors this season. KSU was also the most recent team to top Liberty in an outdoor conference championship (2022 ASUN), handing the Lady Flames their only outdoor setback in the past 10 seasons (2015-19 and 2021-25).
KSU owns CUSA's top marks this season in the 800m (Emma Sullivan), 3K steeplechase (Madison Seiler), 4x100 relay and hammer throw (Kali Terza).
Emma Sullivan will look to win her second consecutive gold medal in the 800m at the CUSA Outdoor Championships. She won gold in the 800m at the 2025 CUSA Indoor and Outdoor Championships and the 2026 CUSA Indoor Championships. Her time of 2:01.07 at the Florida Relays is 3.47 seconds faster than the current CUSA Championship record of 2:04.54 set in 2019. Sullivan's
Kali Terza will try to add an outdoor title to her 2026 CUSA indoor crown with a win in the hammer throw. She won the weight throw at the CUSA Indoor Championships earlier this season.
Terza (5th – hammer throw), Sullivan (800m – 12th), Seiler (14th – 3k steeplechase) are all ranked among the top 14 nationally in their events headed into conference championship weekend.

Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds in Lexington, Ky. on May 27-30. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA First Rounds. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West First Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore. The decathlon and heptathlon will not be held during the NCAA Preliminary Rounds. Instead, the top 24 decathlon and heptathlon scores in the nation earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship site.
