Terza, Sullivan, Dean Collect CUSA Athlete of the Week Honors

DALLAS – Three Kennesaw State track and field athletes collected Conference USA Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Kali Terza was named Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the hammer throw at the Florida Relays. She landed a personal-best toss of 69.05m (226'6") beating throwers from Illinois, Auburn, Florida and Liberty among others in the event. That mark established a new school record. It ranks first in CUSA by almost 27 feet. It also ranks No. 1 in NCAA East Region and No. 3 in the NCAA this season.
 
Emma Sullivan earned Conference USA Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance in the 800m. Sullivan took home second in a strong field at Florida Relays with a personal-best time of 2:01.07. She finished ahead of runners from Florida, Vanderbilt and Auburn among others in her race. That time ranks first in CUSA, tied for second in NCAA East Region and tied for third in the NCAA this season.
 
Cameron Dean was named Conference USA Men's Freshman of the Week. Dean won the triple jump in a strong field at Florida Relays with a personal-best leap of 15.53m (-0.1) (50'11.5"). He defeated jumpers from Florida State, Pitt, USF and MTSU among others in the event. That mark ranks first in CUSA, fourth in the NCAA East Region and T20th in the NCAA this season.
