Kennesaw State Track and Field Closes Regular Season at Torrin Lawrence Memorial

KENNESAW, Ga. — The Kennesaw State men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will wrap up the regular season at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial at the University of Georgia on Friday and Saturday.

Emma Sullivan and Riley Perlakowski will compete in the 800 meters at the East Coast Relays at the University of North Florida on Saturday.

Collins Kipkemboi will run the mile on Friday night, while the remaining 54 Owls will compete on Saturday.


How to Follow the Owls
The Torrin Lawrence Memorial will air on SEC Network Plus on Saturday.

Live results will be available, courtesy of PT Timing for the Torrin Lawrence Memorial. Half Mile Timing will provide live results for the East Coast Relays.


Weather Report
Friday calls for temperatures in the upper 60s. Saturday's forecast calls for rain in the morning, giving way to partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s.


Looking Back at Penn Relays
Twelve members of the KSU track and field teams competed at the Penn Relays from Thursday through Saturday. KSU left historic Franklin Field with four new school records and a fourth-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday. Madison Seiler (3K steeplechase) and Emma Sullivan (800 meters) each collected top-10 finishes in their events.


USTFCCCA Rankings
The Owls earned high marks in the fourth set of USTFCCCA outdoor rankings this week. Seven KSU event groups are ranked in the top 25 in the Event Squad rankings.

Record Breakers
KSU has broken program records in seven events during the first six weekends of the 2026 outdoor season, with senior Kali Terza breaking the women's hammer throw mark three times.

CUSA Leaders
The 2026 CUSA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 14-16 at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The KSU men hold the top mark in two events, while the women lead in five.


Lexington Awaits
The 2026 NCAA Division I East First Rounds meet will be contested at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track & Field Facility, May 27-30, in Lexington, Ky. KSU has 17 athletes currently in the top 48 and four athletes on the bubble.
