Terza’s Record Hammer Throw Leads Kennesaw State at Florida Relays Friday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Kali Terza's win in the hammer throw highlighted the Kennesaw State track and field teams' performances on Day 1 of the Florida Relays at Percy Beard Track on Friday.

Women's Recap
Competing in a strong hammer throw field, Terza recorded a toss of 69.05 meters (226'6") to win the event and set a new school record. Terza has now won the hammer throw at the first three meets of the season. She has broken the school record she entered the season with twice over those three meets.

The women's 4x100-meter relay team of Natalie Harris, Ebony Whyte, Samiya Wayne and Kenadie Singleton ran 44.89 seconds to finish 13th. The time ranks fourth in program history and marks the first time KSU has run under 45 seconds in the event since 2017.

Madison Seiler ran 4:24.32 to place 17th in the 1500m invitational.

Men's Recap
The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Trey Geter, Justin Warner, Edwin Kiprono and Pishon Haughton ran 3:08.07 to finish ninth. The time ranks No. 2 in program history.

Jase Hunter recorded a toss of 63.86m (209'6") to finish fifth in the hammer throw.

Aidan Boyd posted a throw of 64.2m (210'8") to place sixth in the javelin.

The Owls will conclude competition at the Florida Relays on Saturday, April 4.
