KENNESAW, Ga. — As the regular season nears its finish, Kennesaw State will send 12 athletes northeast to the 130th Penn Relays, held Thursday through Saturday, and Kali Terza northwest to the Drake Relays on Thursday during April's final weekend.

Past success at Penn
The Owls have found success in previous years at the Penn Relays. Sarah Hendrick won the 1,500 meters at Franklin Field in 2022.
The women's outdoor 3,000-meter school record (Marjo Vanalainen, 9:19.09) and the 5,000-meter school record (Mackenzie Howe, 16:30.62) were both set at the Penn Relays in 2000 and 2011, respectively.
4x400-meter relay time
The 4x400-meter relay team of Chance Cross, Pishon Haughton, Justin Warner and Eric Young II will run its first 4x400 of the season at the Penn Relays on Friday.
Last season, Pishon Haughton, Nicholas Mabilo, Justin Warner and Eric Young II ran 3:05.95 at the CUSA Outdoor Championships, finishing second while setting a school record in the event.
Terza Time in Des Moines
Kali Terza will compete in the hammer throw on a big stage at the Drake Relays on Thursday. She is set to participate in the World Athletics Continental Tour portion Thursday evening. Both the men's and women's hammer throw fields are filled with Olympians, world champions and national champions.
USTFCCCA Rankings
The Owls earned high marks in the fourth set of USTFCCCA outdoor rankings this week. Seven KSU event groups are ranked in the top 25 in the Event Squad rankings.

Record Breakers
KSU has broken program records in four events during the first five weekends of the 2026 outdoor season, with senior Kali Terza breaking the women's hammer throw mark three times.
Women's 400 meters — Emma Sullivan — 53.10 seconds
Women's hammer throw — Kali Terza — 69.05 meters (226 feet, 6 inches)
Men's high jump — Gage Voyles — 2.21 meters (7 feet, 3 inches)
Men's 400-meter hurdles — Josh Jones — 51.81 seconds
CUSA Leaders
The 2026 CUSA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will take place May 14-16 at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The KSU men hold the top mark in three events, while the women lead in four.
