After two more Dolphin scores, Lavona Watkins capitalized on a woman-up opportunity to cut the deficit to 4-2. Jacksonville added a late goal to take a 5-2 lead after one.

The Dolphins extended their lead to 7-2 early in the second quarter before Belinfanti answered with a free-position goal. Tinker followed with her second goal of the game to make it 7-4. After Jacksonville pushed the lead to 8-4, Sophia Nunez secured a draw control that led to a Shore goal off a Tinker assist, bringing the score to 8-5. Jacksonville closed the half with two goals in the final minute to take a 10-5 advantage into halftime.
