KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State women's tennis secured its fifth consecutive win on Friday in a 4-1 defeat of Georgia State at Betty Siegel Courts.
The five-match winning streak is the Owls' first since March 31-April 15, 2023. KSU has now also beaten its in-state rival in five straight meetings.
KSU's Friday match featured its annual epilepsy awareness day. The Owls honored those afflicted with the disease by wearing specialty uniforms with epilepsy-awareness purple.

The Owls seized the doubles point with wins on courts three and one.
Maria Ivankovic and
Irene Serrano Maestre cleaned up on three, 6-0, in a 21-minute match.
Ema Baraniakova and Madrid finished the job for KSU with a 6-3 win in No. 1 doubles.
Nadaska,
Terezia Baraniakova and Madrid then went to work to finish the match with their straight-set singles wins.
Nadaska defeated Georgia State's Lamiss Haouas 6-2, 6-4 on court five. Baraniakova stormed by Mia Petrovic 6-1, 6-3 on six and Madrid clinched the day for KSU at 6-2, 6-3 on two. Madrid and
Terezia Baraniakova have each won three straight singles matches, while the tandem of Madrid and
Ema Baraniakova extended their doubles win streak to five.
"We'll enjoy this one and get back to work against a good Virginia Tech team at home on Tuesday," Dean said.
