Three Owls Secure Conference USA Athlete of the Week Awards

DALLAS – A trio of Kennesaw State track and field athletes collected Conference USA Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Kali Terza was named Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Week after winning the hammer throw at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. She landed a personal-best mark of 68.62m (225'1"). That mark set a school record. She won by 32 feet and one inch. That mark ranks first in CUSA, first in the NCAA East Region and second in the NCAA this season.
 
Emma Sullivan earned Conference USA Women's Track Athlete of the Week honors for her performance in the 400m. Sullivan took second the 400m at the Yellow Jacket Invitational with a time of 53.10 seconds. That time set a new school record. That mark ranks second in CUSA, No. 6 in the NCAA East Region and No. 11 in the NCAA this season. 
 
Gage Voyles was named Conference USA Men's Freshman of the Week. He cleared the bar at 2.16m (7'1") to win the high jump at the Yellow Jacket Invitational. That mark ranks second in program history, No. 1 in CUSA and the NCAA East Region and No. 3 overall in the NCAA this season.
