KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State softball fell 13-3 in its series opener to Sam Houston at Bailey Park.
Eight of the nine starting Owls reached base safely in tonight's contest and
Jojo Johnson went yard for her second homer of the season.
How It Happened
Sam Houston set the tone early, putting up five runs through the first three innings.
The Owls were held scoreless until the fifth inning but found some late momentum. After loading the bases, the first run for KSU crossed home off a
Hannah Harvey single.
Macie Howes scored another runner the next at-bat with a bases-loaded walk.
In the following inning, Johnson took a pitch and lifted it just over the left field wall for a solo shot.
