KENNESAW Ga. - Kennesaw State baseball dropped a 2-0 decision in 10 innings to Liberty on Friday night at Mickey Dunn Stadium at Henssler Financial Field. After nine scoreless innings, the Flames plated the game's only runs in the 10th.
Cooper McMullen turned in a fantastic start, allowing five hits over 5.0 scoreless innings. It marked his third-consecutive start of at least 5.0 innings in which he surrendered three or fewer runs. Since March 6, McMullen owns a 1-0 record with a 2.35 ERA (4 ER/15.1 IP).
Harry Cain (L, 2-1) followed with a tremendous outing of his own, striking out nine of the first 13 batters he faced. On the night, Cain worked 4.1 innings, allowing four hits and two runs, with one walk and nine punchouts, tied his career best.
