The Owls met with Governor

Burt Jones, and University System of Georgia Chancellor
Sonny Perdue, as well as many state legislators, ahead of the Senate adopting a resolution that honored the Kennesaw State football team and its Conference USA Championship.
Kennesaw State was honored in the State Senate by Sen.
Kay Kirkpatrick and in the State House of Representatives by Rep.
John Carson. Following the adoption of the resolution, Mack addressed the Senate briefly, thanking everyone for their support and expressing his excitement for this era of Kennesaw State football.

"The energy and excitement around KSU and our community has just been outstanding," Mack said. "It has just been a wonderful year for KSU and everything that we have going on in our university, and the support in this room means everything to us."
