CLEMSON, S.C. — Chance Cross ran 6.54 seconds to win the 60 meters and set a school record at the Tiger Paw Invitational on Friday.
The time is tied for fourth in the NCAA this season and leads Conference USA by .05 seconds.
Rickey Robbins finished second in the shot put with a personal-best toss of 17.09 meters (56'1"). Sophomore Evan Martinez recorded a throw of 16.88 meters (55 inch) to place fourth in the shot put.
Trey Geter ran a personal-best 47.49 seconds to finish 49th in a strong field in the men's 400 meters.
KSU will conclude competition at the Tiger Paw Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 14, with Kali Terza, Emma Sullivan and others expected to compete.
