Indoor Regular Season Concludes at Music City Challenge, Tiger Paw Invitational

KENNESAW, Ga. — Kennesaw State track and field concludes its indoor regular season this weekend with competition at two meets.
 

A group of 58 KSU jumpers, vaulters, throwers, and mid-distance and distance runners will compete Friday and Saturday at the Music City Challenge in Nashville. Meanwhile, 13 throwers, sprinters, and mid-distance runners will compete at the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson.
 

Action in Nashville begins Friday with the high jump at 10 a.m., followed by the shot put Saturday at 10 a.m.
 

At the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Facility, weight throw competition begins at 10 a.m. Friday, while events begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.
 

How to Follow

Live results will be available for both meets, with PT Timing providing coverage from Nashville and Flash Results supplying results from Clemson.

Both days of the Tiger Paw Invitational will be televised on ACC Network Extra. The Music City Challenge will be streamed on SEC Network Plus.


Year Two in Conference USA

The 2025-26 season marks Kennesaw State's second year in Conference USA. The Owls captured both the men's indoor and outdoor team championships in 2024-25, with the indoor title marking the first Conference USA championship in program history.


Music City Challenge Preview

Kennesaw State will send 58 athletes to Nashville, including jumpers, vaulters, throwers, and mid-distance and distance runners.

51 teams are expected to compete at Vanderbilt this weekend.

CUSA leaders Gage Voyles and Kenyatta Bennett will compete in the high jump. They lead CUSA with a mark of 2.12 meters (6 feet, 11.5 inches).

Simon Seid and Gavin Horton will compete in the pole vault. Seid ranks No. 2 in CUSA this season with a mark of 5.25 meters (17 feet, 2.75 inches).

Edwin Kiprono will compete in the 800 meters, looking to improve on his season-best time of 1:51.16, which ranks fifth in CUSA.

Victoria Joyce will compete in the invitational triple jump. Earlier this season, she set the school record in the event with a mark of 12.66 meters (41 feet, 6.5 inches).


Tiger Paw Invitational Preview

Thirteen throwers, sprinters, and mid-distance runners will compete at the Tiger Paw Invitational at Clemson.

The meet will feature teams from the ACC and SEC, along with KSU and Liberty, among others.

Emma Sullivan will again run the 800 meters. She holds CUSA's fastest time this season at 2:03.71, which she ran in Boston in December. That mark ranks 19th in the NCAA this season.

Kali Terza looks to continue her strong season in the weight throw. She has recorded one win, two runner-up finishes and an eighth-place finish in four meets this season. Her mark of 21.71 meters (71 feet, 2.75 inches) ranks 12th in the NCAA this season.

Sprinters Chance Cross, Eric Young, Samiyah Wayne and Kenadie Singleton will compete in sprint events.

KSU will run men's and women's 4x400-meter relays at Clemson.


Conference USA Event Rankings

Kennesaw State's third season as a Conference USA member will culminate at the 2026 CUSA Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for Feb. 27-28 at the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex.

With two weeks remaining until the conference meet, Kennesaw State ranks first in eight events on the women's side and five on the men's side.


NCAA Rankings Update

At season's end, the nation's top 16 performers in each event will qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

KSU currently has two athletes ranked in the top 16 in their respective events: Kali Terza (12th, weight throw) and Chance Cross (tied for 14th, 60 meters).

Emma Sullivan is currently ranked 19th in the women's 800 meters.

The CUSA Indoor Track & Field Championships will return to the Brant Tolsma Indoor Track at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex on Feb. 27-28. The Kennesaw State women will look to win their first CUSA title, while the men will look to repeat as champions.
