KENNESAW, Ga. — The Kennesaw State track and field teams will travel to Clemson, S.C., to compete in the Orange and Purple Invitational on Thursday and Friday.
The Owls will make their second trip to Clemson this season after opening the indoor campaign at the Clemson Opener in December. Originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, the meet was moved up because of impending weather.
The invitational will feature a strong field that includes Clemson, Alabama, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and Tennessee, among others.

Year two in Conference USA
The 2025–26 season marks Kennesaw State's second year in Conference USA. The Owls swept the men's indoor and outdoor team championships in 2024–25, with the indoor title marking the program's first CUSA championship.
Hall Earns Weekly Honor
Myesha Hall was named Conference USA Women's Field Athlete of the Week following her performance at the Vanderbilt Invitational, the league announced Tuesday.
Hall won the long jump with a leap of 6.13 meters (20 feet, 1.5 inches). The mark ranks fourth in program history and 39th nationally this season.
National rankings
With February approaching, attention turns toward conference championships and qualification for the NCAA Indoor Championships. To qualify as an individual, athletes must rank among the top 16 nationally following conference championships.
Emma Sullivan (No. 2, women's 800 meters), Kali Terza (No. 10, women's hammer throw) and Justin Warner (No. 16, men's 400 meters) currently sit inside the top 16 nationally in their respective events.
Conference USA outlook
The Conference USA Indoor Championships are scheduled for Feb. 27–28 in Lynchburg, Va. Entering the weekend, Kennesaw State holds the top mark or time in four men's events and six women's events.
Up next
Following the Orange and Purple Invitational, the Owls will compete in a split weekend. Most of the team will travel to Louisville for the Lenny Lyles Invitational, while distance runners will head to Boston for the John Terrier Thomas Classic.
