RUSTON, La. – Kennesaw State men's basketball closes out a three-game road swing with Friday's contest at Louisiana Tech in Ruston. The game will tip off at 2 p.m. (ET) and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ The game was rescheduled to be played a day earlier due to the threat of inclement weather in the area this weekend.
♦ KSU is looking to remain in the top half of the conference, bringing a 4-4 mark into the contest. A positive for the Owls, following Friday's game they will play seven of their next nine games at home, where they are 8-1 this season.
♦ This will be the third-ever meeting between the two schools, with the Owls sweeping both games a year ago, including a 22-point win in Ruston.
♦ The Owls are scoring at high rate this season, currently 17th in the nation at 88.4 points per game, which easily leads Conference USA.
♦ KSU is having another strong year in the boards as well, ranking second in the nation in total rebounds per game (44.8 rpg) and 18th in rebound margin (+8.7) in the nation.
♦ It's also been a strong year defensively for the Owls as well, currently 33rd in the nation in field goal defense at 39.9%. The school record for best field goal defense in a season was set a year ago, as the 2024-25 squad limited teams to 41.4% from the floor.
♦ One sign of the Owls' improved defensive play has been inside the post, as KSU currently leads CUSA and is 13th in the nation in blocks per game at 5.5.
