KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball is back in action on Wedneday night with a 7:30 pm (ET) contest at Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Following an 0-3 start to Conference USA play, Kennesaw State is now riding the second-longest win streak in the conference at four games, including a big 81-65 road victory at Western Kentucky this past Saturday.
♦ Now the Owls look for their second CUSA road win of the year with Wednesday's battle at Sam Houston. KSU is also looking to avenge last year's loss in Huntsville, where it trailed by 20 points at halftime before rallying all the way to take a late lead before eventually falling 78-76.
♦ KSU will close out its three-game road swing at Louisiana Tech, in a game rescheduled due to the upcoming winter storm. It will now be played a day earlier on Friday at 2 p.m. (ET) in Ruston.
♦ The Owls are scoring at high rate this season, currently 17th in the nation at 88.5 points per game, which easily leads Conference USA.
♦ KSU is having another strong year in the boards as well, ranking second in the nation in total rebounds per game (45.0 rpg) and 17th in rebound margin (+8.9) in the nation. Sam Houston meanwhile is second in the conference in both categories (43.0 rpg, +8.8 rebound margin).
♦ It's also been a strong year defensively for the Owls as well, currently 14th in the nation in field goal defense at 39.0%. The school record for best field goal defense in a season was set a year ago, as the 2024-25 squad limited teams to 41.4% from the floor.
♦ One sign of the Owls' improved defensive play has been inside the post, as KSU currently leads CUSA and is 11th in the nation in blocks per game at 5.7.
