POSTGAME QUOTES
KSU HEAD COACH KEITH SCHUNZEL
"I thought we played a better overall match today than yesterday. There was a nice focus from our group beginning to end. Excellent day behind the service line after making way too many errors back there in yesterday's match. I was also happy to see Haley (Patterson) respond really well after struggling a bit yesterday. And I thought both of our setters, Kaeley (Walz) and Koko (
Kourtney Brown), did a nice job today keeping us in tempo and rhythm and distributing the ball well to a number of different people. Looking for what's next, I'm super excited about Griffin's Game coming up on Thursday night against Michigan State."
NOTES
-In addition to Patterson, also having strong offensive games were
Manu Johnsen (nine kills, eight digs),
Olivia Burrage (16 kills) and
Ashlyn Anderson (six kills, .714 hitting percentage).
-
Kaeley Walz led KSU in assists with 18 while tying for the team lead in digs (eight) and adding four aces as well.
Caroline Chastang meanwhile contributed a game-high five aces.
