KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball returns to action this weekend with a pair of games in Murfressboro, Tenn., against the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, with the contests set for Friday at 7 p.m. (ET) and Saturday at 2 p.m. (ET). Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
-The Owls came out of their non-conference slate with a 6-4 mark, with three of the four losses coming at the hands of Power Four schools (Arkansas, Michigan State, No. 24 Tennessee). KSU did claim an impressive 3-0 road sweep at Wichita State to open the season.
- Now KSU is set to open Conference USA play with a pair of games at Middle Tennessee, under a new coach this season and off to a 7-4 start, though the Blue Raiders have played just one Power Four team (a 3-0 road loss at Mississippi State).
- KSU is looking to live up to its preseason billing, as the Owls were picked to finish fourth in the CUSA rankings. They will also be looking for another road victory, after claiming sweeps at both Wichita State and Mercer, with the lone road loss at the hands of the ranked Lady Vols. Last season, KSU dropped five of its first six games on the road, but are off to a 2-1 start in 2025.
- A year ago, the story about the Owls was the youth movement as they were routinely playing five freshmen each game, easily the most under Head Coach
Keith Schunzel's first 12 years in Kennesaw. Now, it's about an experienced KSU squad that is picked in the top four in Conference USA with sights on challenging for the league title, as the Owls return the most players from their 2024 squad as well as the most productivity of any team in the nation.
