KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's soccer dominated for the full 90 minutes en route to a 7-1 win over Alabama State. The seven goals are tied for the fourth-most in program history.

Tonight was a game of many notables for the Owls. Senior Aly Bryan made her 50th career start and celebrated with a goal. Ava Bradford, Caroline Shaw and Sydni Whitehead scored their first career goals for KSU.

Coach Chris Cahill's Remarks:
"It was a great performance by the team tonight and we had a lot of firsts," Cahill said. "Mostly, I want to thank AD Milton Overton, Cara Gaskins, Marketing, the EVM Staff, Alabama State and all of our operations and grounds staff for the heavy lift to help us get this game together at the last minute. We appreciated the extra hours everyone put in and I hope we returned the favor tonight."

First Half
The Black and Gold came out from the jump, pouncing on the Hornets. In the seventh minute, KSU received a corner. Raelyn Prince took the kick, sent it to Ava Bradford outside the box who dumped it off to Rebecca Womer for the first score.

After multiple opportunities, the Owls scored 15 minutes later. Off another corner, Prince sent it at the net and found a wide-open Bradford who tapped it in.

KSU had a chance to go up three in the 33rd minute. A Hornet found Brenna Young in the box for a penalty kick. Prince stood at the spot and shot it right down the middle which the goalkeeper saved. The Owls finished the first half up 2-0.

Second Half
Chaos ensued in the 54th minute where three goals were scored in just three minutes. Whitehead kicked it off, bending a shot towards the far-side post for her first goal in the Black and Gold.

Bryan enjoyed her monumental start, receiving a pass inside the box from Womer for the goal.

Alabama State got on the board moments later. The Hornets went on a counterattack after being pinned in their defensive third. Emmanuella Yapi took the ball down the field and snuck a shot past Sara Hill on the near side for a goal.

The Owls added two more goals before the final whistle blew. Anabel Orozco assisted Shaw on her first goal as an Owl in the 82nd minute. Two minutes later, Prince redeemed herself from the missed penalty kick and ripped a goal off a free kick.
