KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball looks to close out the non-conference slate with some momentum as the Owls play a pair of games in Knoxville this week, starting with a neutral contest against Alabama A&M on Thursday, before closing out against the 24th-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols on Friday night.
- KSU is coming off a three-game weekend in which it dropped matches to Michigan State (3-1) and a heartbreaker to Appalachian State (3-2) before bouncing back strong with a 3-0 sweep over Troy.
- The competition doesn't get easier this week. Alabama A&M brings a strong 7-2 record into the week after winning just eight total games a year ago. Tennessee meanwhile received its first national ranking of the season after knocking off Top-25 Georgia Tech and currently stand at 7-1.
- A year ago, the story about the Owls was the youth movement as they were routinely playing five freshmen each game, easily the most under Head Coach
Keith Schunzel's first 12 years in Kennesaw. Now, it's about an experienced KSU squad that is picked in the top four in Conference USA with sights on challenging for the league title, as the Owls return the most players from their 2024 squad as well as the most productivity of any team in the nation.
