DALLAS – Kennesaw State University men's basketball will host 10 league games as Conference USA announced the 2026 conference schedule Friday. Defending champion Liberty, Jacksonville State, and both newcomers Delaware and Missouri State highlight the home slate.
The Owls return a strong nucleus going into their second year in the league and third year under head coach Antoine Pettway. A challenging CUSA docket begins when KSU opens the league schedule early with a December 16 contest at Middle Tennessee State.
After the calendar turns to 2026, KSU embarks on a weekend trip with a Jan. 2 contest at Liberty and a Jan. 4 game at Delaware. The Owls and Flames split the regular season series last year with each team winning on the road, while the Flames prevailed in the CUSA semifinals. Delaware joins CUSA after reaching the Coastal Athletic Association championship last season.
KSU begins a three-game homestand Jan. 7 when the Owls host Missouri State for the home opener and concludes Jan. 14 against FIU. Owl Nation has provided a home-court advantage thanks to last year's 12-3 home record and 36-8 home mark over the last three seasons.
In between, Jax State visits Kennesaw Jan. 10 after the Owls swept the season series last year in two thrilling matchups.
Another three-game road stretch is set for the middle of the month with games at Western Kentucky (Jan. 17), Sam Houston State (Jan. 21), and Louisiana Tech (Jan. 24).
The Owls return home for four of the next five games, and seven of the next nine games, starting by playing WKU for the second time in 11 days with a Jan. 28 tilt. KSU continues with a Jan. 31 game against New Mexico State. Last season, each side won as a road squad, but the Owls won on a neutral floor in last year's exhilarating CUSA quarterfinal clash.
A Feb. 7 short trip to Jax State breaks up the home stand as KSU welcomes Middle Tennessee Feb. 12 and Sam Houston Feb. 14.
After making their first trip to Missouri State, KSU begins a critical stretch in the CUSA standings with three consecutive home contests. A Feb. 21 matchup against Louisiana Tech, last year's preseason favorite whom KSU swept the season series, sets the tone for the final home stretch. A showdown with Liberty is scheduled for Feb. 26, and the final home game is two days later with a Feb. 28 game against Delaware.
The Owls close the regular season at UTEP (March 5) and New Mexico State (March 7).
