Kennesaw State Football to Travel to Tennessee in 2026

4/9/2025 1:37:00 PM

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State football will head to the University of Tennessee to take on the Volunteers on Sept. 19, 2026, it was announced Wednesday.

The trip will mark KSU head coach Jerry Mack's return to Knoxville, having spent three years as the running backs coach at Tennessee (2021-23).

Other connections to the Volunteers on the Owls' staff include offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Mitch Militello (2021-24), special teams coordinator/tight ends coach Kyle Blocker (2022-23), and running backs coach Aston Walter (2023-24).

Kennesaw State's 2026 non-conference schedule continues to take shape, as Tennessee's matchup joins an in-state showdown against Georgia State at Fifth Third Stadium on Sept. 12 and a return trip to Arkansas State in Jonesboro on Sept. 26.
