KENNESAW, Ga. – For the third straight time in the series, Kennesaw State and Liberty will play on national TV as Sunday's men's basketball matchup between the two will be on CBS Sports Network. The game tips off at 1 p.m. in Lynchburg, as the Owls look to take down the current Conference USA leaders.

A FEW NOTES
♦ Sunday marks the Owls' third appearance on CBS Sports Network this season. The Owls split the first two games, with a win over Rutgers and a loss to Liberty, both coming in Kennesaw.
♦ The last four games in the series have all been very competitive, as in the Owls' last trip to Liberty, the Flames rallied in the final minute to force overtime before claiming a Senior Day win at the end of the 2021-22 season. KSU then won two memorable games for the Flames in Kennesaw in the 2022-23 season, including the Atlantic Sun championship game. In this year's first matchup, Liberty took a 10-point halftime lead and would win by eight, though the Owls were within six for a good portion of the second half.
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. KSU has made a complete turnaround in 2024-25, ranking 47th in the nation in field goal defense at 41.1%, which is also fifth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank sixth in the nation in rebounding at 40.9 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 20th in rebound margin at +6.7, also the top mark in the league.
♦ KSU's freshmen are currently the 4th-highest scoring freshman class in the nation at 38.0 ppg.
