KENNESAW, Ga. – Highlighted by six home games, including four conference games at Fifth Third Stadium, Kennesaw State football's full 2025 schedule was unveiled Thursday afternoon by Conference USA.
With the first four games of the Owls' 2025 slate previously announced – Aug. 29 at Wake Forest, Sept. 6 at Indiana, Sept. 13 vs. Merrimack and Sept. 20 vs. Arkansas State – Thursday's announcement included dates for KSU's eight remaining CUSA games.
Following the CUSA opener versus Middle Tennessee on Sept. 27 at Fifth Third Stadium, Kennesaw State will host conference games against LA Tech on Oct. 9, UTEP on Oct. 28 and CUSA newcomer Missouri State on Nov. 22.
The Owls won't travel for league play until Oct. 21 at FIU, before kicking off a CUSA road slate of New Mexico State on Nov. 8, Jax State on Nov. 15 and Liberty on Nov. 29 to close the regular season.
Schedule Notes:
- Kennesaw State will face off against its second and third Power 4 conference opponents in program history, starting the season at ACC foe Wake Forest (Aug. 29) and Big Ten member Indiana (Sept. 6).
- Wake Forest will mark the second opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference that the Owls have played (Georgia Tech, 2021).
- Kennesaw State will also face off for the first time against three more opponents in Merrimack (Sept. 13), Arkansas State (Sept. 20), and New Mexico State (Nov. 8).
- KSU's matchup against Arkansas State will be a reunion for head coach Jerry Mack, who graduated from Arkansas State in 2003.
- For the second-straight season, the 2025 college football schedule includes multiple bye weeks for all teams. The Owls will have their open dates on Oct. 4 and Oct. 14, playing just one game in the span of 23 days.
Fresh off the February Signing Day that had Kennesaw State unveil its class of 33 newcomers, KSU is heading full steam ahead toward spring practice, which is set to begin in earnest on Monday, March 3. With the exception of Kennesaw State's spring break, the Owls will practice four days a week for the NCAA's number of allowable dates through the 2025 Spring Game on Saturday, April 5 at 11 a.m. at Fifth Third Stadium.
