KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball starts a three-game road trip on Thursday night with a contest at FIU in Miami. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

A FEW NOTES
♦ KSU is currently alone in fifth place in CUSA at 8-7, half a game behind fourth place New Mexico State (8-6) and half a game ahead of sixth-place UTEP (7-7), while Louisiana Tech is seventh at 7-8. The top six teams will receive a first round bye in next month's CUSA Tournament.
♦ The Owls will be looking for their second sweep of the season, after holding off the Panthers 73-67 in Kennesaw on Feb. 1. KSU's other season sweep this year came over Louisiana Tech.
♦ KSU is looking for its first-ever win at FIU, having lost in both 2014 and 2023.
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. KSU has made a complete turnaround in 2024-25, ranking 46th in the nation in field goal defense at 41.1%, which is also fourth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank fifth in the nation in rebounding at 41.2 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 20th in rebound margin at +6.8, also the top mark in the league.
♦ KSU's freshman class is currently the fourth-highest scoring freshman class in the nation at 38.4 ppg, trailing only Duke (50.2 ppg), Rutgers (45.6 ppg), and South Dakota State (40.1).
