KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball will host a Senior Night contest against New Mexico State in the regular season home finale for the Owls on Saturday at the KSU Convocation Center. The game will tip off at 5 pm and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Thanks to a big 10-point home win over UTEP on Thursday night, the Owls are alone in fourth place with an 8-6 record in Conference USA play. A win against New Mexico State would not only keep KSU in the top four in CUSA, it would give the Owls their second season sweep of a conference opponent this year.
♦ The Owls won the first meeting thanks to a huge rally, coming back from down 14 early to finish the game on an 18-2 run for a 69-56 victory in Las Cruces, N.M. on Jan. 23.
♦ Saturday's game will be the final regular season home game for seniors Rongie Gordon, Delaney Heard and Ricardo Wright.
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. KSU has made a complete turnaround in 2024-25, ranking 51st in the nation in field goal defense at 41.2%, which is also fourth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank fourth in the nation in rebounding at 41.6 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 18th in rebound margin at +7.3, also the top mark in the league.
♦ KSU's freshman class is currently the fourth-highest scoring freshman class in the nation at 39.1 ppg, trailing only Duke (49.5 ppg), Rutgers (45.3 ppg), and South Dakota State (40.4).
