KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's lacrosse will play its home opener on Sunday in a 12 p.m. contest at Fifth Third Stadium against the Canisius Golden Griffins.
A FEW NOTES
» This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
» KSU is returning seven starters from a season ago, highlighted by senior midfielder
Hannah Davis and junior attacker
Shannon Harrington, while junior
Lauren Dobbs is expected to lead the defensive effort. There will be a change in the KSU goal after the graduation of a pair of senior goaltenders in the offseason. This year, the Owls will turn to senior
Natalia Cruz, while backing her up will be freshman
Mia Nardi.
» This is the first of a four-game stretch in the next two weeks for KSU. The Owls will also play at home against Furman on Feb. 22, while playing road matches at Gardner-Webb (Feb. 19) and Mercer (Feb. 26).
